About us
A joint venture between First South Financial Services a member of the J&J Group and Macquarie Africa (PTY) Limited,
a subsidiary of Australia's Macquarie Bank Limited - is an integrated investment business providing a wide spectrum
of services, including institutional stockbroking, equity research, equity capital markets, debt markets and
corporate and project finance advisory. The joint venture was formed by combining the Macquarie Group's South
African corporate finance advisory and debt markets businesses with the institutional stockbroking business of
First South Securities, a subsidiary of First South Financial Services.
Macquarie First South understands the unique value of combining local market knowledge and expertise with international
experience and support. First South brings to the joint venture a highly regarded research team and broking business
and established relationships in South Africa. This is augmented by Macquarie's international reach, distribution and
research and corporate finance capability.
